Our Mission

The NWT Seniors’ Society is dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of older adults throughout the Northwest Territories. We advocate for the rights, needs, and dignity of seniors and elders, working directly with communities, governments, and partner organizations to address housing, healthcare, income security, safety, and social inclusion.

Through our many services — including the Seniors’ Information Line, elder abuse prevention training, mentorship for facilitators, community consultations, dementia and Alzheimer’s town halls, and a wide range of programs and benefits — we ensure seniors have access to clear information, practical support, and culturally respectful resources.

Guided by seniors themselves and grounded in over four decades of experience, we work to ensure that every older adult in the NWT can age with choice, connection, security, and respect.
